“Pushkin” is an adventure story of a pocket thief, who has a striking resemblance to Alexander Pushkin, the great Russian poet of the XIX-th century. For that reason, he was nicknamed Pushkin. Moreover, he looks both like the legendary Russian poet and the famous contemporary actor who is to star in the film about Alexander Pushkin’s life. The actor’s criminal look-alike is forced by chance to combine his attempts to escape from justice and acting in the film instead of the celebrity. Things get even more complicated when Pushkin finds his love during the shooting. What will his better half say when she finds out that Pushkin is not a celebrity but a repeat criminal?
